Killed on D-Day, served as a private with the 101st Airborne.
In a telegram received by his mother the war department stated that "Pvt. Corwin Randt has been reported missing in action since June 6, in France. If further details or other information are received you will be promptly notified."
Pvt. Randt entered service on May 28, 1943 and was sent to Camp Wolters, Texas for training. He was transferred to the paratroops and sent to England in February.
A graduate of the Manawa high school, with the class of 1939, Corwin was employed by Sturm and Jensen prior to entering service.
